Thomas Ritter is an associate attorney at Thompson Burton PLLC. His practice area primarily focuses on cybersecurity and multi-level marketing law. As a cybersecurity attorney, Thomas advises diverse clients from start-ups to established corporations on cybersecurity matters ranging from regulatory compliance, the understanding and acquisition of cyber insurance, the legal responsibilities in lieu of an incident, and comprehensive mitigation techniques through hands-on employee training and executive C-suite education and integration. Thomas also has litigation experience with respect to general business disputes.

Thomas is a Nashville native who graduated from Father Ryan High School. He attended the University of Tennessee and graduated magna cum laude from the Chancellor’s Honors Program with a degree in Political Science. Thomas went on to attend law school at the University of Tennessee College of Law, where he participated in Moot Court. He competed in UT College of Law’s oldest Moot Court competition, Advocates’ Prize, where he won the distinction of Best Appellate Brief and was overall runner-up. Thomas also received recognition for obtaining the highest grade in more than one writing-intensive course during his time in law school.

Thomas lives in Nashville with his wife, Alexandra, and their dog, Oliver. In his free time, Thomas is an avid runner and voracious reader.
