Nashville-Area Law Firm Adds Another Transactional Attorney to its Roster of Legal Experts
Thompson Burton PLLC is pleased to announce that A.J. Reed has joined firm as a partner. He will concentrate on real estate development and corporate/securities.
Reed was most recently an attorney at Waller Lansden Dortch & Davis LLP where he concentrated on commercial real estate development and finance, retail and healthcare leasing, government zoning issues, build-to-suit retail and commercial projects.
“A.J. brings a wealth of knowledge about real-estate transactions and further solidifies the firm’s expertise in this practice area,” said Founding Partner Walt Burton. “A.J. was on many firms’ radar, and he chose to join Thompson Burton.”
Prior to Waller, Reed practiced at Spragins, Barnett & Cobb PLC in Jackson, Tenn., and Glankler Brown PLLC in Memphis. He was also a trust officer at Morgan Keegan Trust in Memphis.
“Thompson Burton represents everything I am looking for in a law firm,” said Reed. “I was drawn first by the phenomenal reputations of the attorneys. As I started to learn more about the firm and how it operates differently – and better – than the large firms, I knew it was the place I wanted to practice law.”
Reed earned his juris doctorate from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law in 2006. He is a member of the Memphis, Tennessee, Mississippi and American Bar Associations as well as the National Association of Bond Lawyers.
