Nashville, TN, WEDNESDAY, APRIL 27, 2022 – Thompson Burton PLLC was announced as a 2022 Best Places to Work honoree by Nashville Business Journal. The Best Places to Work honorees are the companies with positive work environments, bosses who inspire their teams and the ability to have fun while finding success across all parts of the business. To assemble the list, nominations were accepted from the public, and employees of nominated companies were asked to complete an online survey conducted by Quantum Workplace. The employee survey measures 10 key engagement categories, including team effectiveness, trust in senior leaders and manager effectiveness. Responses from each question of each completed survey are compiled and evaluated. Companies are ranked and winners are chosen in each size category by their composite score. Cole Dowsley Becomes Tennessee Rule 31 Listed General Civil Mediator


Thompson Burton, PLLC is pleased to announce that partner Cole Dowsley recently became a Tennessee Rule 31 Listed General Civil Mediator. Cole has over 15 years of experience representing clients in all types of civil litigation matters. He now looks forward to using that experience as a mediator to assist litigants efficiently and effectively settle their cases. He completed mediation training at the Institute for Conflict Management at Lipscomb University. Cole’s current practice includes representing businesses and individuals as both plaintiff and defense counsel in trial, arbitration and mediation. In recent years, his practice has concentrated in commercial litigation, including of breach of contract cases, disputes among business owners, non-compete and non-solicitation cases, business torts, fraud and real estate disputes. Jerry W. Taylor Joins Thompson Burton as Partner


Thompson Burton announces new partner, Jerry W. Taylor.   Thompson Burton PLLC has announced the addition of veteran health care and regulatory attorney Jerry W. Taylor as a partner. According to a release published by the Nashville Post, Mr. Taylor will continue to focus his practice on health care and regulatory compliance. Most recently as a partner at Burr & Forman, he is the 23rd attorney to join Thompson Burton since its founding in 2012. Taylor worked as a member at Farris Mathews Bobango from 2000 – 2012, served on the board of directors for the Nashville Health Care Council, and held a board position with the Tennessee Justice Center. Prior to his practice in the private sector, Taylor served in legal positions in State government, including the Tennessee Health Facilities Commission.
