Thompson Burton Attorney as Guest Speaker at Vanderbilt School of Nursing


Thompson Burton Attorney Alex Fisher was a recent guest lecturer for a Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) course at Vanderbilt University. The course, titled Advanced Practice Nursing Role within the U.S. Healthcare Delivery System, is a core curriculum course taught annually to approximately 350 Masters students. Its purpose it to provide students with an understanding of how the U.S. healthcare system works in regards to the economic implications of health planning, organization of resources, and cost effectiveness of healthcare delivery. Alex’s presentations included “Regulation of Nurse Practitioners and Overview of Practice Authority in the United States” and “State Nursing Boards”. We are very proud of her work within the community and would like to congratulate her on the accomplishment!

TB in the News: Thompson Burton PLLC Named Finalist in NBJ’s Best Places to Work in Nashville


Thompson Burton is very pleased to announce its selection as a finalist in the Nashville Business Journal’s 2015 Best Places to Work in Nashville Honors. Selection criteria for the honor is based on employee nominations. Employees were asked to complete an online survey conducted by Quantum Workplace. The employee survey measures 10 key engagement categories, including team effectiveness, trust in senior leaders and manager effectiveness. Responses from each question of each completed survey are compiled and evaluated. Companies are ranked and winners are chosen in each size category according to their overall composite score. Thompson Burton Adds Chris Rubino as Associate in Commercial Real Estate


Thompson Burton has continued expanding their commercial real estate practice with the recent addition of Chris Rubino as an associate. Prior to Thompson Burton, Rubino served as an associate attorney at New York-based firm SilvermanAcampora, LLP. He will aid Thompson Burton partner, Walt Burton, in the firm’s Commercial Real Estate practice group. Rubino’s background involves both commercial litigation and transactional work. In the past, Rubino handled complex distressed debt transactions and large commercial real-estate deals. His diverse experience gives him a unique perspective that helps him better serve the needs of clients. “We’re very excited to welcome Chris to the firm,” stated Walt Burton. “We’ve been looking for the right fit in this important practice area for 6-9 months.
