Thompson Burton’s land use team has over 65 collective years of experience in land use and zoning law having represented both governmental and private entities.  We have represented Codes and Planning Departments, Boards of Zoning Appeals, Planning Commissions, Fire Marshal Offices and multiple other departments, boards, and commissions throughout Middle Tennessee.

In the private sector, we represent property owners, home builders, and developers, as well as large and small businesses helping them gain the entitlements necessary to achieve their development interests.  We successfully represent our clients before state trial courts, appellate courts, Boards of Zoning Appeals, Planning Commissions, Historic Zoning Commissions, and other state and local regulatory bodies. Our land use practice spans all of Middle Tennessee including the counties of Cheatham, Davidson, Dickson, Maury, Montgomery, Robertson, Rutherford, Sumner, Williamson, Wilson, among others.
