Biography
Mary Neil Price is one of Tennessee’s premier attorneys in the area of mergers and acquisitions with over thirty years’ experience. Price’s industry experience includes construction, food services, banking and financial, manufacturing and health care services. She regularly assists clients with regulatory and corporate governance issues in both the private and public sectors.
A graduate of Tulane Law School and Newcomb College, Mary Neil Price has been named the Nashville Business Journal’s “Best of the Bar” and “Power Leader in Finance”. She has taught Capital Studies at the LSU School of Banking and Negotiable Instruments at Belmont Law School. Mary Neil is also trained as a Rule 31 Mediator and FINRA arbitrator.
Price has broad experience in the financial and banking industry working with regulatory authorities such as the Federal Reserve, FDIC, Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and state banking regulators. Her work has encompassed negotiation of core systems and loan origination software contracts, mergers and acquisitions, executive compensation and regulatory issues such as Fair Lending, CRA, HMDA and the Bank Secrecy Act.
In a prior life, Price served as General Counsel to a multi-bank holding company supervising the legal counsel, compliance and Community Reinvestment Act functions. She also served in various capacities including Chairman of the Board of a financial institutions risk retention group headquartered in Vermont. As an active member of her community, Price supports the Center for Nonprofit Management, Tennessee Performing Arts Center, Habitat for Humanity, Martha O’Bryan Center, Ensworth School, and Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital.
