Biography
Dave Eckelmann joined Thompson Burton in 2021 as an associate attorney in the firm’s Commercial Real Estate practice group. With a strong foundation in both litigation and transactional work, Dave specializes in supporting clients through all phases of commercial real estate transactions. His expertise spans acquisitions and dispositions, financing, corporate formation and ventures, construction, leasing, and complex development. Above all, Dave is committed to aligning his client's vision and priorities with tailored legal strategies, ensuring outcomes that reflect their objectives and long-term interests.
Prior to joining Thompson Burton, Dave represented business and professional clients in disputes and transactions related to construction, infrastructure, and development. Dave also served as an Honors Law Clerk for the Securities Exchange Commission and Civil Litigation Law Clerk for the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General. Dave is a graduate of Vanderbilt University Law School, and he has made Nashville his home since 2016. In his spare time, Dave enjoys live music, motorcycle riding, and rooting for an (admittedly) eclectic array of sports teams including the Atlanta Falcons, Philadelphia 76ers, and the Nashville Predators.
