Biography
Chandler is a partner with Thompson Burton’s commercial real estate practice group. As a dirt lawyer, Chandler represents clients in a diverse range of real estate transactions, primarily focusing on new development and leasing. This experience includes, among other things:
— representation of multiple national homebuilders in the acquisition, land banking, and development of residential communities
— representation of build-to-suit retail developers in the acquisition of land, negotiation of leases, and sale of triple-net leased properties
— representation of industrial developers in the acquisition and leasing of large industrial warehouses and regional logistics hubs
— representation of a national quick-service restaurant in the acquisition and ground leasing of dozens of properties
— representation of borrowers and lenders in a variety of real estate finance and lending transactions
Chandler was selected by his peers as part of the Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch - 2024 & 2025 editions. Chandler was also named as a Mid-South Rising Star as part of the Super Lawyers 2024 publication.
Prior to Thompson Burton, Chandler graduated first in his class from Belmont University College of Law. After law school, Chandler clerked for the Honorable Frank Clement of the Tennessee Court of Appeals.
Chandler and his wife, Meg, live in Thompson’s Station, Tennessee, with their three children. In his free time, he enjoys cheering on the Tennessee Volunteers, Titans, and Nashville Predators, as well as helping to coach his children’s various sports teams.
