

Biography
Chandler is a partner in Thompson Burton's commercial real estate practice group. Chandler represents a wide range of clients in complex real estate transactions. A self-described "dirt lawyer," his practice primarily focuses on new development deals, including residential, retail, and industrial developments.
Highlights of his experience include:
— representation of multiple national homebuilders and residential developers in the acquisition, land banking, and development of residential communities
— formation and counseling of homeowners associations and community associations, including preparation of declarations of covenants, conditions, and restrictions (CC&Rs), bylaws, and related governing documents
— representation of build-to-suit retail developers in the acquisition of land, negotiation of leases, and sale of leased properties
— representation of industrial developers in the acquisition and leasing of large industrial warehouses, data centers, and regional logistics hubs
Chandler has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch (2024–2026) and was named a Mid-South Rising Star by Super Lawyers (2024).
Prior to joining Thompson Burton, Chandler graduated first in his class from Belmont University College of Law. After law school, Chandler clerked for the Honorable Frank Clement of the Tennessee Court of Appeals.
An active member of the Middle Tennessee community, Chandler volunteers in his free time with Williamson County CASA. Chandler and his wife, Meg, live in Thompson's Station, Tennessee, with their four children. In his free time, he enjoys cheering on the Tennessee Volunteers, Titans, and Atlanta Braves, as well as helping to coach his children's various sports teams.
