Biography
Johnna Jones is an associate attorney in Thompson Burton’s litigation and family law practice groups.
Johnna received her law degree from Vanderbilt Law School, where she was actively involved in various organizations. She mentored three first-year law students, served as the social committee chair of Vanderbilt’s Black Law Student Association, and was selected as a representative for the Vanderbilt Dare to Grow Campaign.
Prior to her current role at Thompson Burton, Johnna clerked for the firm and gained valuable experience as a clerk for the Honorable Alistair E. Newbern of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee, as well as for the Honorable Judge Calloway of the Davidson County Juvenile Court. She also clerked for the Tennessee Attorney General’s Office in the Civil Law Division for Law Enforcement and Special Prosecutions.
Johnna is an alumna of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, graduating with University Honors, which recognizes the top 3% of the 2021 graduating class. While there, she was a James Scholar, a collegiate athlete, and engaged in numerous campus organizations, majoring in Economics and History with a minor in Jewish Studies.
In her free time, Johnna enjoys being an NFL cheerleader, swimming, traveling, savoring great food, and spending time with family.
