The Nashville Post quoted Thompson Burton's Emily Lamb in an article titled "What's the argument for rewriting Nashville's zoning code?" Among other land-use professionals, Lamb suggested that the "pretty massive undertaking" could last years.

“Nashville has changed a ton in 25 years,” Lamb says. “Some of the things written in 1998 are not necessarily applicable to Nashville in 2023, as well as where do we think Nashville is going to be in 2050.”
